Faculty of Health Sciences (HV) and the Faculty of Technology, Art and Design (TKD)announces one PhD fellowship in the area of Intelligent Health.

The fellowship will be for a period of three years, or alternatively, four years including 25% compulsory work (teaching and supervision activities or research administrative work).
The issue of whether a 3 or 4 year position is suitable will be discussed as part of the interview process. The academic work is to result in a doctoral thesis that will be defended at the Faculty to obtain the degree PhD.

Intelligent Health is an interdisciplinary initiative at OsloMet where researchers in health, technology, design and social science work together to find sustainable solutions to society's health challenges. In order to solve these challenges, new arenas must be created at the interfaces between health-, technology- and social sciences, key institutions such as health trusts, municipalities, as well as the private sectors and users. Research therefore often takes place close to the community and is user- and needs-oriented. Intelligent Health will contribute new knowledge, research, innovation and a more future-oriented education of tomorrow's health care professionals.
This is an open call within the larger field of health and technology. We seek highly motivated and driven candidates that have the opportunity to present short project proposals in collaboration with our faculty members.

The salary for the position is in accordance with the Basic Collective Agreement for state employees and OsloMet’s pay policy for position code 1017 (research fellow), salary grade 54, i.e. an initial salary of NOK 479,600 the first year. By law 2% of the salary is deducted as to the Norwegian State Pension Fund.

Applicants will be assessed by an expert committee. In order to be considered for the position you must upload the following documents together with your online application by the final date for the application:
All the documents must be in either English or a Scandinavian language. Any translations must be authorized by government. Originals must be presented if you are invited for an interview. OsloMet performs document inspections in order to give you as a candidate a proper evaluation and ensure fair competition.

If a high number of applications is received, a selection of the most qualified applicants will be done before the detailed assessment by the committee.
A main supervisor at the Faculty of Health Sciences or the Faculty of Technology, Art and Design must be listed in the final application. Additionally, as we encourage cross- and multidisciplinary approaches to Intelligent Health at OsloMet, we would like the candidate to suggest a co-supervisor from the Faculty – Health or Technology, Art & Design - where the main supervisor is not located. Where possible, a co-supervisor from outside OsloMet should also be listed.
We ask that you as a candidate identify relevant supervisors at OsloMet. In the case that an applicant does not have knowledge of relevant supervisors, she or he can send the 200 word (maximum) description of their proposed research project by the title “Abstract PhD Fellowship in Intelligent health”. The abstracts will, as deemed relevant, be sent to relevant supervisors so that they can consider and contact potential candidates. This is done to support matching of applicants and potential supervisors. It is, however, the applicant´s responsibility to identify a supervisor. If no relevant supervisors are available, this will be communicated to the candidate.
Due to the extraordinary situation we are currently in interviews with candidates will be conducted online and no travel for the interviews will be necessary.
