Fakultet for helsevitenskap (HV), Institutt for sykepleie og helsefremmende arbeid

Oslo Metropolitan University is Norway's third largest university with almost 22,000 students and over 2,500 employees. We have campuses in central Oslo and at Romerike. OsloMet educates students and conducts research that contributes to the sustainability of the Norwegian welfare state and the metropolitan region.

The Faculty of Health Sciences consists of five departments and offers study programmes on all levels, including PhD. The faculty has about 6000 students and nearly 600 members of staff.

Department of Nursing and Health Promotion is located at all three campus: Kjeller, Pilestredet and Sandvika. The department has approximately 3000 students and 250 employees.

The Faculty of Health Sciences, the Department of Nursing and Health Promotion, has three vacancies for temporary positions as associate professor (førsteamanuensis or førstelektor) and/or assistant professor in the bachelor’s programme in nursing. The duration of the temporary positions is one year.

The faculty will undergo reorganisation, and a new programme description for the nursing programme will be launched in autumn 2020. This means that the coming year will be characterised by work on the programme description and the establishment of the new organisation. At the same time, we will maintain a high quality of education for our present students. We are therefore looking for qualified people to contribute to stability in supervision and teaching activities for students during the first year of the programme, and support colleagues in a time characterised by changes.

The primary workplace will be Pilestredet campus, but teaching and supervision at all three campuses may be required.

  • relevant teaching qualifications and experience
  • sound digital competence and experience of digitalisation and student-active teaching methods

General criteria for appointments to academic positions are covered by the Regulations for appointment and promotion to academic posts.

It is an advantage if you also

  • have teaching and supervision experience from the bachelor's degree programme in nursing
  • are familiar with the programme description for the bachelor’s programme in nursing
  • can refer to positive feedback from the students
