Oslo Metropolitan University is Norway's third largest university with almost 22,000 students and over 2,500 employees. We have campuses in central Oslo and at Romerike. OsloMet educates students and conducts research that contributes to the sustainability of the Norwegian welfare state and the metropolitan region.
The Faculty of Health Sciences consists of five departments and offers study programmes on all levels, including PhD. The faculty has about 6000 students and nearly 600 members of staff.
The Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Physiotherapy is looking for a Head of Studies for the Physiotherapy Programme. The Head of Studies will be appointed for a fixed term of four years, with the possibility of applying for a further two terms. The position is vacant now.
The Physiotherapy Programme at the Department of Physiotherapy is currently organised as two programme options – Physiotherapy and Mensendieck, but a new joint programme description is in the works and scheduled to be implemented in the autumn of 2020. The department also offers master’s degree programmes in physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and specialised further education programmes. A lot of research activity is conducted at the department, with much national and international collaboration and many PhD students. The department also has three research groups.
The faculty offers two PhD programmes: one in behavioural analysis and one in health sciences.
Area of responsibility
As the Head of Studies, you will have the academic and administrative responsibility for the Physiotherapy Programme's two programme options – Physiotherapy and Mensendieck. You will be responsible for performance in research, education, and dissemination, in addition to HR and financial management. You will actively contribute to strategic work and the further development of the research environment in cooperation with the department’s other managerial employees.
You will be part of the department’s leadership group consisting of two head of studies and the head of the department.

The salary for the position is in accordance with the pay scale for state employees, position code 1473, programme coordinator, currently NOK 670,000–754,900 per year. A higher salary may be considered for particularly well-qualified applicants.
