Oslo Metropolitan University is Norway's third largest university with almost 22,000 students and over 2,500 employees. We have campuses in central Oslo and at Romerike. OsloMet educates students and conducts research that contributes to the sustainability of the Norwegian welfare state and the metropolitan region.
The Faculty of Health Sciences consists of five departments and offers study programmes on all levels, including PhD. The faculty has about 6000 students and nearly 600 members of staff.
Department of Nursing and Health Promotion is located at all three campus: Kjeller, Pilestredet and Sandvika. The department has approximately 3000 students and 250 employees.
The Faculty of Health Sciences, the Department of Nursing and Health Promotion, has vacancies for one full-time position and two part-time positions (50 per cent of a full-time position) as associate professors in the field of municipal health services/care services for the elderly. We want to increase our expertise in this area and also seek closer collaboration between the field of practice and education, since we see the mutual benefits this has. It is an advantage that the two people employed in the part-time positions also have positions in the municipal health services/care services for the elderly.
We are looking for someone who is ambitious on their students’ behalf, who enjoys teaching, supervision and research, and who is prepared to use various digital learning resources.
Extensive research activity is conducted at the department, which has seven research groups, and we regularly hire research fellows. As an associate professor, 35% of your position will be dedicated research time.
