Oslo Metropolitan University is Norway's third largest university with almost 22,000 students and over 2,500 employees. We have campuses in central Oslo and at Romerike. The Faculty of Health Sciences consists of five departments and offers study programmes on all levels, including PhD. The faculty has about 6000 students and nearly 600 members of staff.

The Department of Behavioural Science at the Faculty of Health Sciences seeks three new employees for three permanent full-time positions within health-related courses and milieu work/habilitation/rehabilitation. The positions are vacant at present.
If no applicants with relevant professor/associate professor qualifications apply, an applicant may be appointed to a temporary position as an assistant professor in positions 1 and 3 on the condition that he/she qualifies for a professor/associate professor position within three years.
The Department of Behavioural Science has the following study programmes: bachelor's degree programmes in social education and psychology, master's degree programme in behavioural sciences, a range of further education programmes and a PhD programme in behaviour analysis.
Extensive research activity is conducted at the department, and several research groups have been established. Read more about the Research activity here.
In addition to the PhD programme in behaviour analysis, the Faculty of Health Sciences also offers a PhD programme in health sciences.
Main duties of the position
We are looking for candidates who have
If the candidate does not have the required skills in Norwegian or a Scandinavian language, he/she will be offered training to be able to carry out the tasks involved in the position and/or field of work. You must be able to document Norwegian skills at a level corresponding to at least level B2 within three years of being appointed.
For position 1 (health-related courses), we are ideally looking for a candidate with a bachelor’s degree in nursing or social education, relevant clinical and/or practical experience from the social education field, and for a candidate who can supervise, teach, and assess students' practical skills in skills training facilities. Knowledge of the following areas is also required: anatomy, physiology, pathology, neurology and pharmacology.
For position 2 (health-related courses), we are ideally looking for a candidate with a PhD with knowledge of the following disciplines: anatomy, physiology, pathology, neurology and pharmacology. Research experience in neuro-biology will be emphasised.
For position 3 (milieu work/habilitation/rehabilitation) we are ideally looking for a candidate with a bachelor's degree in social education who has experience of teaching topics such as milieu work, habilitation and rehabilitation and who can supervise, teach and assess students.
Emphasis will be placed on relevant clinical and/or practical experience from the field of social education.

If you do not have relevant teaching qualifications, you must undertake to complete the university's basic teaching qualification programme (15 credits) within two years.

The salary for the position is in accordance with the pay scale for state employees, code 1011 (førsteamanuensis) / 1198 (førstelektor). Salary NOK 524,200 to 682,200 per year. A higher salary may be considered for particularly well-qualified applicants.
