Faculty of Health Sciences

Oslo Metropolitan University is Norway's third largest university with almost 22,000 students and over 2,500 employees. We have campuses in central Oslo and at Romerike. OsloMet educates students and conducts research that contributes to the sustainability of the Norwegian welfare state and the metropolitan region.

The Faculty of Health Sciences consists of five departments and offers study programmes on all levels, including PhD. The faculty has about 6000 students and nearly 600 members of staff.

A full-time position for a postdoctoral fellow is available from 1 January 2019 at the Faculty of Health Sciences with a duration of two years.

The position is a recruitment position with the main objective of qualifying the person appointed for top academic positions.

Permanent staff in an academic position at OsloMet cannot apply for this postdoctoral position.

The programme Research on Digitalisation and Learning is looking for a postdoctoral fellow to conduct research on aspects of digital assessment in the bachelor's programme at the Faculty of Health Science. This could be formative forms of assessment which promote learning, or a summative assessment that measures the students’ learning outcomes. We are looking for a candidate who can master and combine qualitative and quantitative research methods. We are primarily looking for research that can develop the teaching quality further and strengthen our assessment practices, thereby promoting the institution's aim of creating outstanding nursing programmes. Research based on the national assessment exam in anatomy, physiology and biochemistry is therefore particularly relevant and will be prioritised.

You will be part of an established and relevant research group at the Faculty of Health Science. We expect daily participation in and contribution to the research environment at OsloMet.
